This document describes which personal data the customize.cz website processes and which data we process for our clients' e‑shops when we recommend products to their customers.

Controller and contact

The controller of website visitors' data is Customize.cz, s.r.o., Sladkovského 410, Zelené Předměstí, 530 02 Pardubice, Czech Republic, company ID (IČ) 03532330, VAT ID (DIČ) CZ03532330. The company is registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Regional Court in Hradec Králové, file no. C 34261, since 31 October 2014.

A. Visitors of customize.cz

Contact form

When you write to us through the contact form, we process your name, e‑mail, message text and, optionally, your website or online store name. We use the data only to answer your enquiry. The message is delivered to us by e‑mail and is seen only by authorised staff.

We keep the data for no longer than 2 years, or until deleted at your request.

Server logs

The web server records the IP address, access time, requested URL and browser details (User‑Agent). We use them to keep the website running and secure. Retention period: no longer than 2 years.

Cookies

The website uses necessary technical cookies and a banner for managing cookie consent. Analytics cookies would be stored only with your consent (currently we do not set any). See the Cookie policy for details.

B. Customers of our clients' e‑shops

We run recommendation boxes and personalized e‑mail for e‑shops whose customers see the recommendations. For these customers' data we act as the processor. The controller is the e‑shop operator, who determines the purpose of processing and is responsible for informing its customers and for the legal basis.

What data we process

  • an anonymous session identifier (the uid cookie on the customize.cz domain) and a customer identifier for the given e‑shop (the cm-user cookie),
  • viewed products and categories, cart contents and clicks in the boxes,
  • orders: order number, products, price, quantity, device type,
  • a customer identifier from the e‑shop, usually a hash of the e‑mail address,
  • derived preferences, including an estimate of women's or men's assortment.

We do not process surnames, postal addresses, phone numbers or payment details.

Purpose and retention

We use the data to select recommended products, for statistics and for calculating the commission on converted orders. Retention period: no longer than 2 years, or earlier upon deletion – the e‑shop operator calls the customerDelete API and the customer identifier is irreversibly anonymised in line with the GDPR. Data in the cache (Redis) is stored only for a short time.

Erasing a customer's data

The e‑shop operator can request erasure of a specific customer's data by calling the customerDelete API. The customer identifier is then irreversibly anonymized. The technical description is on the For developers page.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ).
